April 2009 - Toorak Bowls Club
The superlative weather returned yet again to greet the die-hards for the 5th year running for this fun event, used as a social springboard ahead of the hectic season that is almost upon us. Those who came out to have some fun in the sun and support the club were treated to some exhilirating technical bowling from so many keen enthusiasts. Whilst Greavesy cooked up a storm on the BBQ, guns out and all, would-be champs showed off their various ball-handling skills, and the best of them were none other than Captain Dave and the real Captain Kelly, who took home the bacon...and the rest of the fine Glenferrie Gourmet Meat platter. Well done to the committee who put the day together, and a special thanks to those who made the effort to turn out for the day. Your support does not go unnoticed.
