REDS DOWN AND OUT AGAINST JUVENTUS OLD BOYS
It's difficult to know what to say about an 8-2 result for the Reds. It was a display that, although at points we played some decent football, makes it feels like cheating to say any positives when you leak eight goals.
It wasn't that we had no possession or chances, but rather a real quality opposition team turn up who knew exactly how to exploit each defensive mistake. Despite this, the defence cannot be totally to blame as way too many times the ball was lost cheaply in midfield and runners were not picked up. The only enjoyment of this game was to momentarily forget you were being flogged as a team and admire a striker who had an arsenal of shots that would make the US army drool. Tiddy, we need your guidance at the back, as speaking for the rest of the squad I'm sure, I haven't been this down since discovering that 'the never ending story' really did have an ending!
