The Old Scotch Soccer Club (t/as Scotch Old Boys SC) is a community football club based in Melbourne's eastern suburb of Hawthorn. It's members are made up of former and current Scotch College students as well as many from the broader community.
Club Purpose:
The purpose of the Old Scotch Soccer Club is to provide a social football club environment for former Scotch students and the greater community. It strives for success both on and off the field, is a club that promotes an excellent sense of mateship amongst its members and one which is very proud of its rich history. The club's future plans are simple - to strengthen & grow its member base, to build a foundation capable of success in a competitive market and ensure its members, coaching staff, players and supporters enjoy their experiences with the club.

Amongst the playing group, ages range from teenagers to veterans in their 40s across the four competing Senior teams. The club has players from all backgrounds, of all nationalities, councils from Boroondara, Monash, Manningham, Bayside, Glen Eira, Port Phillip, Stonnington, Yarra and many other areas. Everyone is welcome at OSSC.
Formed in October 1981, it has a rich history and is a proud club boasting many on field successes, including the most recent Championship wins of 2007 by both the First and Reserve teams in Provisional League Division 2 South East in the Football Federation of Victoria. Prior to this the club has won many Thirds championships, the Provisional League Cup in 1994, many Provisional & Amateur League championships from the late 80s to the early 90s and so much more. Playing:
Match days for the Reserves and Seniors are on Saturday afternoons @ 1pm and 3pm respectively, with home games being played at HA Smith Reserve in Hawthorn (Mel Ref: 59 D2). For the less competitive, social footballer, there are also two Thirds teams which currently play on Sundays at 1pm & 3pm when at home. Kick off for away games can vary depending on the opposition.
Training:
OSSC trains at HA Smith Reserve in Hawthorn, directly opposite Scotch College on Glenferrie Road. Training night is Thursday from 6:30pm and all are welcome to train with a view to joining this great club.
OSSC currently has four teams registered with the FFV, being the First, Seconds, Thirds & Fourths teams. The First & Seconds (Seniors & Reserves) play on Saturday afternoons in the Provisional League Division 1 as at Season 2008 and the Thirds & Fourths play in the two South Eastern Third leagues on Sundays.
Off the field the club holds many fantastic club functions for its players and members. From the casual Open Bowls Day, to the FA Cup & Trivia Night, to the glam event, the Annual Presentation & Awards Night.
